fri:hmmm.. dunno y, but i decided to watch the olympic opening on fri nite.. haha.. still, its very nice.. all this yrs i have nvr watched the openings so i dunno the "ratings".. but according to my dad, its the nicest so far since he watch every openings.. lol.. china got a very very long history.. lol.. so long that even my dad can mix things up.. humph.. luckily i still knw some of my stuff.. otherwise kenna bluff also dunno.. lol.. jkjk..
alot of human power were injected into the performance.. very impressive as to how hundreds/thousands over ppl can coordinate so well.. like the drum, they beat so much in union that u seldom hear an extra beat each time.. at most is abit of a "lag".. when they end the drum performance, they switch all the lights off and u can see the luminous drum stick "flying" really nice~
they also got ppl dancing and drawing into a huge paper that was assumed to b onto a scroll (scroll is projected onto the floor and have many patterns forever changing as the scroll was projected such that it was as if forever scolling and unscrolling).. there's also all this chinese characters like those u see on a "ancient stamp" or for printing.. dunno which.. nvr hear.. lol.. its actually moved up/down by ppl hiding inside each character.. initially i tot is technology manipulated until i saw legs when they moved up.. although not very obvious but i was so curious then i kept my focus on whether there're legs.. wahahahah.. i was telling my mum those ppl must b very tired sia.. imagine.. they sort of have a 3 levels.. at times u squat, at times stand, half squat.. is very tiring plus they have to coordinate very nicely to fulfil their performance.. strong leg muscle.. *clap clap* they end by everyone suddenly popping out to wave to the crowds as gratitude for watching their performance.. guess those that arent as boliao as me din realise that it was human-manipulated until they pop out?? heehee..
waited very long for the lighting of the torch.. at 1st the newspaper's itinery put the opening is until 9.30.. so i waited.. but the countries keep coming out 1 after another many of those i have nvr known before.. then got "announcement" (just some sentences appearing at the bottom of the tv screen) that the news will b on at 11.30pm.. assuming that the opening ends that time.. so i waited agn.. 11.30 left few more countries still coming out.. after that.. speech.. by the chinese olympic organiser then the chairman.. took very long.. waited till 12mn.. then after awhile, they started the run ("jie li sai".. i forgotten the english word for it.. =p).. the last person ran on the "roof" of the "bird nest" shaped stadium.. suppose to b he run after the end of the scroll that is uncrolling but due to poor coordination, got a pt of time he overran the scroll.. then later think they speed up the scrolling, end up he was nearly caught up by the picts that appears a distance from the unscrolling.. the lighting of torch is amazing.. they have a bigger torch "statue" which they light at the end of a tip and the fire encircle the torch up to the top.. impressive.. china had really done a very good job for the opening regardless of how ppl have despise their ability..
by the time everything end, including the firewrks finale.. was nearing 12.30.. tired.. way past bedtime.. even worse for my dad.. anyway.. speaking of firewrks.. due to china's massive land, and manpower.. they made it very grand.. the part where they start a distance away from the stadium and advanced to the stadium by setting off firewrks from buildings alternately left and right like footsteps.. from my pt of view, its also like planes dropping "bombs" =x
sat:nothing much to do at home.. but at nite was awoken by smses a couple of times.. after last nite already lack of slp.. now worse.. lol.. tmr got lotsa activities.. tired~
sun:hmmm.. abit like "meet the friends" day.. according to dear.. lol.. y?? cuz i meeting my friends to go topone for k-ing session.. the package is a 11am-6pm session but can feel free to come and go at anytime in between.. $20 wif free flow of drinks, frankly is really very worth it..
heehee.. dear was very good.. he not into singing de but he came just to pei me.. yeah~ he looks very tired.. like turning into a zombie le when i just saw him.. humph.. he no good lor.. i give him mic he wun sing de.. kenna "force" by my friends then he sing.. sad.. lol.. but nvm.. at least he still got sing.. otherwise i feel bad asking him to come along.. left earlier cuz meeting his friends for dinner.. initially i was planning on dining at home de.. but then his friends got plan then he ask me along so i just go lor.. =)
went to this jap restaurant at tiong bahru.. not near the station.. think 1 or 2 stops away.. they got this ala carte buffet which i think is really worth it compare to like sakae sushi.. its $30++ which should end up at arnd $35 per pax.. compare to that time i went to a dinner buffet at sakae which cost in the end abt $30 per pax.. at tiong de, their sushi is those normal maki, but they got sashimi, i'm a sashimi lover so its good.. can eat until u shuang lor.. unlike sakae have to pay separately.. hmmm.. they also got teppanyaki, handrolls, teriyaki, fried stuffs, and wider variety of udon and don..
hmmm.. was when we reach tiong (early) that dear told me he thinks that its all guys and no gals.. wow.. the other time got one of them de gf that came and 1 of their gal-fren.. but this time is all his guy-frens.. good lor, so "early" then tell me.. but nvm lar.. just go lor..
a whole day of him entertaining my friends and me entertaining his friends.. but good lar.. i can meet mine, he can meet his and yet we can see each other.. weee~ but think nxt wk i gotta abandon him.. gonna b going to sentosa wif my friends.. paiseh wor.. =p
mon: after effect of all those activities and lack of normal slp time required by myself = still feeling very tired.. gonna catch my rest in the nxt few nites.. =.=zzz
